Not sure why the downgraded to a 757 but it was packed and uneventful. While a layover in either Sao Paulo or Rio would have been nice, having a direct flight from Atlanta was really nice. We've never seen applause at the end. Judging that this is the inaugural flight and it started from the forward cabin, the happiness is that we finally have a direct Brasilia-US flight. Connecting through Rio or Sao Paulo can be very busy and tiring, especially around Christmas time. In fact, I got to your post via Google Alerts. I wanted to find out if the first flights were successful, as last we'd heard, they were pending government approval. Thanks for good news, merry Christmas!
